Alaska Voyage of the Glaciers on Princess

In June of 2024, our group of seven travelers sailed into the Gulf of Alaska and Prince William Sound on Princess’s top-rated Voyage of the Glaciers Southbound cruise. This was Cy’s fourth time in Alaska and second cruise. We spent seven glorious days traveling from Anchorage (Whittier) to Vancouver, B.C, stopping in historic port cities of Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway. Along the way, we saw Glacier Bay National Park and Hubbard Glacier.

This itinerary afforded us the opportunity to see Denali National Park before the cruise and explore Vancouver after the cruise.

This is an affordable and easy trip allowing you to do a lot or just do a little while emerging yourself in the beauty of the Inside Passage. We can book you on any cruise line you prefer and get you the best available price.

Cruise the Rhine River on Viking

In October 2024, we boarded a Viking long-boat river cruise from Amsterdam to Basel. The purpose was to try a popular upscale river cruise provider while exploring one of Europe’s best-loved rivers. We saw turreted fortresses, grand cathedrals, historic cities, medieval towns and stunning scenery of the Middle Rhine. We savored the region’s renowned white wines from terraced vineyards that are hundreds of years old.

Viking Longships are award-winning cruise ships. They are specially designed to navigate the world’s great rivers. Longboats provide all the comfort and elegance of river cruising: attentive and professional staff, delicious onboard meals and spectacular scenery.

We extensively explored Amsterdam before the cruise and continued to explore Hungary and Romaina after.

Explore Costa Rica and Plant Trees

June 16-26, 2025

Cy led this Sierra Club trip in 2022. Having led groups to Costa Rica for 30 years, he has many friends and experiences to share with participants. This trip became a favorite because it provided the opportunity to give back. Over four half-days, the group of 14 people planted more than 250 seedlings on the Pacific slope of the Tillaran mountains.

Cy will be repeating this trip in June of 2025. The trip starts just outside San Jose, continues to La Fortuna/Arenal, then Monteverde, and ends in Montezuma before returning to San Jose. Click on LEARN MORE to read more about this ‘lite’ service trip on the Sierra Club’s website and sign up.

Exotic Indonesia: Bali and Sumatra

We have plans to experience Bali. Cy added Bali to his bucket list after seeing the movie, Eat Pray Love. Our tentative plan is to a week in Sumatra followed by a week in Bali.

Join us as we visit places and scout the itinerary for a future group trip. Come for one or two weeks or even stay longer.

Antarctica with National Geographic

November 2025

Join us on a visit to the 7th continent in November of 2025. We are joining a National Geographic-Lindblad expedition that eliminates sailing on the Drake Passage. We fly directly from Chili to Antartica where board a cruise ship for 5 days with multiple wildlife-viewing opportunities on the ice.
